I'd also be surprised (as much as the Internet can ever surprise me anymore) if this game actually developed any sort of huge, crazy fanbase... there's not a lot to it. The mechanics are kind of novel but are computer-science-y rather than something to do with characters.

Ya know one thing that's getting on my nerves these days is the fact it feels like people are jumping the gun on hate trains. Undertale as a fandom hasn't even done anything significantly wrong yet and its already has whiny ass babyshits all over youtube complaining about its oh so evil toxic fandom and this fucking game isn't even out for a week and not that many channels have even played it and you're already calling it the next FNAF. I'm starting to think the people that choose to add comments onto youtube vids in general spend too much of their free time on youtube... and yes I'm included in that. Also note: I don't even like this game that much. I find it takes a bit too much inspiration from some other games to the points it feels like it didn't want to be its own thing but rather a Frankenstein combination of what everyone else was doing. That said I live with the idea I wouldn't appreciate in Vinny came to my home and judged my taste in video games so I won't do it to him.

Most people who complain about this kind of stuff usually have never experienced it or constantly fit in common tropes they find to just make it sound like something older that was popular.
