1:40 Fun fact: that is a unused sprite in the game files. That’s why you only see upside down ones. There was probably a sprite for it at one point but once it got scrapped it was replaced in the code as a cheap cheap sprite. Just thought you guys should know that.

I believe what you were meant to say was "The piranha plant with the fish is a unused sprite that was left in the games files" Yes, that is correct. It used to have a full stem until it was removed. The only reason the fish is acting as the stem is because that fish used to be the actual stem. The fish kept the stem's sprite ID, thus why it's acting as a stem.

The upside down fish is actually in the hex where an upward stem would be for pirhanna plants if they acted that way in game. The only place they have vines is one level where they come down, so rather than waste space they put a new sprite where the unused upward vine would be
