I finished Stomp Plonk when it came out and can give some clarification based on what I figured out. Whoever said that you have to imitate the songs of the NPCs really led Vinny astray... Some NPCs will copy what you play on your lute, but the main point of the lute is for the main "quest" of the game. In the castle, which is adjacent to the city full of dancing people, you meet the King who sends you on a quest to find his 5 errant knights scattered around the world and play a certain sequence of notes on the lute to send them back to the castle. The yellow blinking light on the lute blinks faster when you get close to one of those knights, and the red blinking light blinks faster when you get close to an object that will teleport you somewhere else when touched. All that being said, what I enjoyed the most was the general atmosphere and music.

My one trivia about Chuchel is that the character used to have a reversed color scheme. Top was orange and body was black. Lips were pretty reddish, too. Changing it was probably for the best.

Oh yeah, I remember Markiplier and I _think_ Jacksepticeye both playing the OG version. While I'm sure the devs were likely going for a "Studio Ghibli soot sprite" look for Chuchel originally, the change was _definitely_ for the best like you said.
