Honestly, idol culture in japan is so fascinating to me and yet at the same time incredibly disturbing. Some of the male fans talk about how the idols are cuter when they're "undeveloped" and it really freaks me out. Good to know it fucking depresses vinny as well

The lifestyle culture of it is pretty fucked up as well. Most idols aren't allowed to have a relationship or have sex, due to their managers wanting them to maintain the illusion of innocence for their fans. In fact, I remember a certain instance where an idol was found out to not be a virgin and her manager forced her into a public video apology and made her shave her head as punishment. My memory might be a little fuzzy about that, but still, the lifestyle of an idol isn't an easy one.

When Vinny mentioned that Japanese idol documentary, it kind of frightened me, considering that I'm a fan of Love Live. I owe a whole lot to Love Live. It got me through possibly the most depressing arc in my life and got me motivated to finish college. I thought that the existence of the documentary kind of made me think of myself as a creeper. Sonic Bounce appears to be a Within a Deep Forest reference. In that game you play as a bouncing ball, and the world is presented via static screens with no scrolling like in the romhack. WaDF is a classic game. Vinny might actually like to play it sometime.
