I actually like the idea of Dark Link being this ongoing threat that attacks you almost randomly. Maybe if he wins, mocks you, and takes all your Rupees or some shit. But as you get better, and if you defeat him, you get special effects or items you can utilize.

If Vin ever does another OOT randomizer run, he should do it with Ship of Harkinian, it is *very* good. The addition of 60 FPS / Gyro / Modern camera control is also a good excuse for him to revisit OOT rando again. Or even just a vanilla (SoH) OOT playthrough, since I don't think he's done a vanilla OOT playthrough in eons, just 3D / 3D Master Quest.

​@@Aegiker It's pretty good already imo, the only way to add truly random effects like op wants would probably be using auto-corrupt in rtc, which like you said doesn't usually get the kind of results people want. Honestly the more effects there are the more random it'll feel. If it's even possible, corrupting the game in real time could be one of the effects but I feel like that'd be risky since that might crash the game, not to mention I feel like that would be really difficult to implement, though I don't know anything about modding OoT. An option to hide the timer and effects would help if that isn't already an option, same with an option to randomize the time between effects.

@@Duskztar the default timer option randomizes the time between effects and the game has 80 effects in it, vinny liked to pick easy options for most of the stream. corrupting the game in real time would be plausible but I've done my best so far to make it stable and reduce crashes so that would sadly end up counterintuitive. If I knew what people liked about real-time corruptions I might be able to recreate the effects as chaos effects, but most real-time corruptions are just cartridge tilts with funny colors and random triangles turning into spikes
