It isn't that Mario 64 does controls poorly; Mario still feels wonderfly acrobatic, a veritable miracle for its era. @nathancollins17155 жыл бұрын
@@steel5897 I won't disagree with your level design point, they are pretty good in that regard. But for the amount of changes they make between them they might as well be DLC for the original. And the story in Mario games is nothing to sneer at. Sure, most come down to "save the princess from Bowser", but they each have their own special twist on that concept. 3 was only about saving her in the final world, after a whole game of saving the Mushroom Kings from their fate as animals. World threw Dino Island into the mix. 64 saw Bowser trap Peach inside her own castle. Sunshine is pretty self explanatory, it has actual plot points throughout. The Galaxies took the formula into space. Even the first NSMB had Bowser Jr. as the main villain with Bowser acting as his enforcer. The rest of them just... essentially follow the exact same formula as the original Super Mario Bros. They regressed all the innovations that had been made in the series history. And a return to basics is fine sometimes, but to do it the exact same way 3 games in a row? It's a little tedious. That's what I mean when I say they're soulless.
