She's been my proverbial pin up girl since 1992-93 with Ladybugs and Hocus Pocus. Of course, I'm 30 now, and I watched Hocus Pocus last night on TV for the first time in years. Some dreams never die, I guess. Didn't know she was this cool though re: this interview. Good to see she's doing well.

i dont understand how vinessa shaw's carrer is so shitty she's very pretty and her acting is really natural and (imo) above average for modern female actresses it's just odd..... ......maybe fire the manager?

I think she could if she wanted to, she certainly has all the tools. My take is that she loves acting and part of that is because she is comfortable with her level of celebrity status. This allows her to be selective with her roles and continue to make a living from it without being surrounded by paparazzi. I'm certain if she tried out for larger roles with larger production budgets she would eventually land one. However this would mean having to do a lot of promotional work off the set and be on screen probably more time than the actual movie which would launch her into this realm of fanatical territory which sounds like she has no desire for. I mean this is an actress that even in her teenage years didn't want to let her own friends know that she was on the cover of Seventeen. She also almost left acting due to stress and from what I can tell had become jaded with the superficial hollywood scene and began practicing buddhism to combat depression. Her instagram only has about 7000 followers. She isn't your typical I want to be famous just to be famous person, like most people are in this social media crazed era, where the quality of talent has plummeted but the level of celebrity is at an all time high *cough the kardashians. I like her right where she is, a diamond hiding in plain sight.
