Just like Kojima, many know Vincent Chansard for his recent work on One Piece and Boruto. After graduating from the notorious Gobelins - School L'image in France in 2019, Chansard went on into the world of eastern animation in the form of productions such as Fate, Gleipnir, and of course Boruto: Next Generations! Vincent's work shows mostly through his ability to capture almost rotoscope levels of movement whilst keeping the appeal of a character. His ability to maintain a sense of consistent weight and space between subjects is a testament to his succesful studies! With his skills, he has brought many scenes iconic or not from the paper to screen in unimaginable ways without fail! Behold the spectacle!!

he likes to add bounces and recoils at the ends of motions, which makes it look closer to 3d animation than normal, but you can still tell it wasnt traced animation. very unique. maybe he was inspired by 3d movies

He studied at gobliens, which heavily leans into disney-style character animation. similar to the the likes of James Baxter, milt Kahl and Richard Williams. So its clear that a lot of that study gave him the skills to animate phenomenal character animation, as well as his own personal study and skills in FX work, which were gained from referencing other animators. Although, i do wonder if he ether rotos or at least references 3D for his insanely clean rotations, like 1:07, which literally look 3D.

I mean baxter hasn't really gotten a chance to show off in terms of action animation considering the fact that most of his work is non action media. But considering his talent in animation in general, I think he can do as a good as a job as vincent.

@@tkim72003well there’s a lot more to action animation than you think. James Baxter is solely focused on character animation and fluidity. Idk if he’d know how to limit his frame count for the sake of impact and speed in an action scene. Even his Kung Fu Panda fight scene was incredibly smooth, but nothing compared to the action we get in anime.

The pacing of One Piece can be downright grueling at times. Wherever you decide to watch OP, make sure you can find a video player that has up to 2x playback speed so you can still watch in faster motion. This helped me catch up to recent episodes within 5 months

vincent loves one piece and boruto. and im pretty sure vincent is gonna be a official toei animator till one pieces end but ofc he will help other studios. and without vincent we have godly official toei animators that dont really work with other studios. those two people only work with toei and they are working in dragon ball daima. and those two animators that are officially toeis are megumi and ota.

This man is everything wrong with modern Japanese animation! EVery action scene he makes is the same garbage all flash, no substance bad camerawork slop that UFOtable/Trigger/Roosterteeth are already able to easily pump out for loser nerds who only care about bright colors, fluid frames, and bloated animation budgets.
