⁠@@noriantiri9310Honestly I like this song for the show even with the context of season 2’s events. The way it was used to illustrate season 1’s events was really good. Furthermore, having the edit end on the lyric “vallhalla calling me” with the scene where thorfinn leaves the hellish battlefield behind (which, as depicted in season 2, is thorfinn’s interpretation of valhalla in the first place) creates really good contrast and irony in my opinion. So basically, while the show does actively reject that lifestyle, the edit does a good job of using that rejection to create interesting and meaningful contrast at the end

Actually, a think like this actually had happened. But in Russia a loong time ago, i really don't remember the 100% but the enemy blocked the river so drakars cant pass, and then the commander decide to cross the land by using trees as wheals, and suddenly the fleet appeared near the enemy capital. We don't know if its a myth or historical fact, but just to think about this make my kind of feared.

I saw a lot of people gave S2 crap because it was slower and had "little to no violence" but i feel thats good Thorfinn so he had time to heal and grow into the kind of warrior I think he will become in S3 that mirrors what his own father was trying to teach him before his death.
