Yutaka Yamada is becoming one of my favourite composers. The famous Tokyo Ghoul osts were good, but he took it next level with the Vinland Saga Ost, one masterpiece of a soundtrack.

Because of this show I started to learn Norwegian. (and finished the Norwegian entire Duolingo course in three months). All the atmosphere created by Wit studio is such wonderful that makes you feel inspirated to achieve new goals. I am really happy to have a possibility to ejoy the story and amazing soundtrack :). Ps. I know, that in these historical period probably the closest language to would be Icelandic, but Icelandic is not availiable on Duolingo :D.

Vinland Saga is not an anime you want to see , it's an anime you HAVE to see..the storylines are masterpiece..im dead serious..it's the only anime where dead of the main villain will be missed..i pity for whoever find this story boring or didn't make it to the end of the season

This is such and underrated anime, just beacuse an anime doesnt have a flawless character( in sense of strength not writing, Thorfinn is one of the best written protagonists I have ever seen) dosent make an anime bad.

If you look at the anime that become extremely popular, you'll notice that most of them have generic ass protagonist because that allows the reader to put himself in their places easily. The thing with Vinland Saga is that you really can't, or rather don't want to, imagine yourself as Thorfinn as he really isn't a good person nor a chick magnet, so most otaku don't want to become a self-insert with him. Now for the people who truly appreciate a good story is a completely different story. Thorfinn is filled with flaws and his journey is all about overcoming and learning to deal with them. And with his we have all the amazing cast that taught him (and us) so much along the way. In short, the kids will love Kimetsu no Yaiba, the legends will love Vinland Saga.
