This is upscaled from 640 to 1280 first metal tech solo from metal tech video. The original video was taken from the fan-site of Vinnie Vincent, so all rights belong to them. My purpose is just to make it more pleasant to watch.

For everybody who will say that this is little enhance and it doesn't differs from original: The original video was in 640, and i make it 2x enhanced. If you will try to make it in Full HD or Ultra HD 4k, it will look like crap, because it is very big difference and it is unnatural for picture resolution. The 1280x720 is the limit for enhancing very poor resolution videos that is literally pixels.

Paul Stanley wrote in his book that Vinnie would play solos like this almost without end.

Jibberish…nothing more. Been playing for 40 years, and there is nothing impressive about that, period.

Loved the first solo album, Invasion, great songs and some scorching solo work. This video, however, was just a mess. I bought it at the time on VHS and, for me, it was the poorest of all the instructional videos of the 80's and early 90's. Not only was his playing sloppy, every example he played sounded the same. I learnt nothing from it.

"Directed by Steve Trovato": I remember that as the name of a guitarist in an instructional video I watched in a guitar store in the 80s. Why I remember it is that Trovato was good. :)

Totally agree. And the nonsense "you couldn't do any better" response is as dull is it is predictable. By that logic you can't have an opinion about a bad plumber until you've done your 4 year apprenticeship.

@@trance9158Anyone could crap out these tapes, Napoleon Dynamite pointed to this when Uncle Rico showed his "football skills" on homemade VHS. Vinnie had a few diamond nuggets in a pile of mostly incomprehensible, pretentious junk. All the ability in the world, but little feel. His "Love Gun" solo was one of his finest moments

Nothing musical about that high-speed twiddly diddling whatsoever. NOTHING.
@malicant1234 ай бұрын
I don’t think that that was the intent. Vinnie is deliberately playing something highly complicated to demonstrate the technique that is to be demonstrated and instructed by his video. Speech and technicality doesn’t equate to musical quality, but Vinnie was more than capable of delivering that too.

The nice things about tone-cluster (whole tone) scales is, there are only two; if you combine that with random chromatic shifting, then all of a sudden, there are no wrong notes, only neo-classical pretension. Fortunately, the pattern is exactly the same on all strings, other than a "glitch" between G and B, so pretty hard not to play fast. Oh well, EVH did a bunch of cheesy hacks just to sound fast, too.

Nothing intelligent coming out of your comment whatsoever. Vinny could still play circles around you any day dude. Sucks to suck!
