Some subconscious level of his mind keeps track of timing in both the short and long term, and only when the conditions are perfect for maximum impact on friends over voice chat does it begin to generate the most unhinged jokes. Even then, only the most hard-hitting ideas actually make it out of his brain, and my proof that it’s subconscious is that he only seems to notice it happening in the middle of saying it.
