I agree with you, but keep in mind Roberto Duran was never the same after NO MAS. He was no longer invincible. He won because of his great skills without the machismo.

Yes and no, remember Duran was only a few years removed from that great fight against iran barkley. If Vinny fought him at junior middle when they were both in their primes...It's a tough fight for Duran because Vinny especially at junior middle(which in my opinion were the 2 best fights he ever fought, I dunno why but after looking great at 154 and then he broke his neck he started fighting at middle then super middle and his last few fights he technically was fighting at light heavy. Vinny had power at junior middle but just cause you put on 15 pounds your punch is usually what your natural weight is. Im naturally a solid 190 but if I boxed they'd want me to fight at super middle because you'll have the power of a cruiserweight and be naturally bigger and stronger than your foes) looked great, fast, great movement, combinations, in and out, youtube Vinny vs Gilberte Dele, it was a clinic. He started pro at 130-135 and he was knocking people out then he went up to 168 for the end of his career and the only solid KO he had was against Rosenblatt. At 154 a 30 yr old Vinny vs a 30 yr old Duran I think would be a good fight now if they fought at lightweight Duran would KO him. My 2 points are just cause you gain weight your power doesnt get better and secondly at 154 Vinny was strong, quick, and fast. His movement would've frustrated the hell outa Duran.

I grew up watching all these guys box and still do and remember not really liking him that much but then I saw Bleed For This, supposed to be his life story. Anyone who breaks their neck and comes back to boxing and wins a world title has got my respect.
