We went through something similar to this stream in a Vinesauce-adjacent community. When two or three unfunny band kids were banned from submitting videos suddenly the humor massively improved. I think it being curated is sort of the problem, the curator was not very good. Lots of YLYLs either use a good youtube compilation, or a donation based system so that 15 year olds have a bit harder of a time flooding the queue with SFM memes. Also a moderator or two should be screening the videos to make sure it isn't anything completely unfunny or that didn't even try.
