Vintage 1960s Davenport? PA/intercom wall speaker

Vintage 1960s wall mount 100v line pa speaker
The label on the bottom shows it was supplied by telephone rentals, I have seen these branded as Davenport before.
The driver appears to be a Goodmans speaker with single cone not dual cone
100v transformer has wattage taps for 0.5, 1 and 2 watts

i've been trying to find out some information about some large Davenport branded column type speakers that are installed in a british legion club. They are running off a 1960's vortexian PA amplifier and are still in use!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any information about Davenport, I have only came to thinking these are Davenport because I have seen very similar units on ebay other than that haven't found anything. Nice to hear that there are some others still in use. The one I have here was in service from the early 60s to about 4years ago if I remember correctly.

The original company (S.B. Davenport Ltd) went into liquidation three times between 1985 and 1987. The latest was on the 20th November 1987. At one point the company changed its name to Mereview (South) Limited, and the only update was in 2018, where the company was dissolved.

These are most definitely Davenport. 100v caution sticker & driver gives it away.

Ok good to know. the driver is definitely Goodmans as far as I can tell as I have radios etc with Goodmans branded drivers that use the same terminal, dustcap and basket style unless you have any other thoughts?
