Man I'd love to watch you do a complete restore of this beautiful piece of lawn equipment. They just don't make them like they use too. Back then they were built to last forever as long as they were cared for.

Beautiful machine uncle arch. I had a 18” version of that from the early 80s with an electric start tecumseh. What sucked was it had electric start only. No recoil backup. Yours I’m guessing is early 90s when the quantum Briggs was first introduced in a 5hp model.

I've seen this on a few machines of different types... I've also seen a pull start on an engine with the electric PTO and that customer couldn't figure out what was wrong! Also the other way, no pull start and for no good reason!

We had one of those mowers around the 80s my dad bought a brand new mower for us to cut grass for making money while we were teenagers. Awesome video thank you I'm going to subscribe to your Channel
