Vintage 1983 Ibanez AM50 - J. Rockett The Dude - Fender Blues Jr.

This 1983 Ibanez AM50 probably has one of the most insanely great sounding bridge pickups I've ever used. I think Scofield is right when he calls the vintage Ibby Super 58's some of the best pickups out there, and I can def see why he prefers the sound of his old guitars.

Sick playing! How does the ibanez compare to your Gibson or your Comins?

They all sort of get into similar sonic spaces but there are subtle differences. The Comins is a little darker, and the Ibanez has a little more grit/output than the Gibson.

It's the stock speaker that comes with the tweed Blues Jr! Not sure what it is , and not sure if it's different than the blackface Blues Jr.s....
