Vintage 25 inch Magnavox TV From 1991

Vintage 25 Inch Magnavox CRT TV from 1991 Model RP2545A102 Serial 11762107.
I know in the video I mention its a 27inch however when I measured it it came up to around 25/26 plus I think the 25 in the model stands for 25 inch. When measuring a TV screen you measure diagonally from corner to corner of the glass itself.
I got this TV from Jaykay18. This was located in the basement in the corner of clubjay. Jay Ended up getting a flatscreen TV from xjoe81x and so jay offered me this TV. It survived the trip no issues. I ended up swapping TVs with it in the dining room as this one fits better on the stand. Jay found this TV thrown out years ago. No remote but i can get a aftermarket one later.
TV has Monaural sound and Composite input with Mono audio input also. Picture is a bit snowy but that could either be a bad cable or the box itself or electrical interference from the signal amplifier or the power adapter. The Antenna is just a flat panel type stuck to the window.

That TV might actually be kind of rare if indeed it is a 25". 27 was a very common size. I have heard of 25's, and seem to remember seeing one being advertised back in the day, but most of the ones produced were 27. They also say that the screen size is the actual size WITHOUT the bezel, so if the tube actually goes another inch on each side diagonally, it's a 27, regardless of what it says. The picture on it was always a little snowy, best signal using the composite inputs. Very rare to see red and yellow connections for the RCA inputs, perhaps that was following the NES standard? It's an interesting set, and it has woodgrain. Never gave the best picture but it has been absolutely rock solid reliable and works every time. I had the tint adjusted to as closely match the colors I knew that were on the channel guide; but that's why they call it NTSC--Never Twice (The) Same Color. Old color sets from the 60s and 70s, if they were fancy enough to have a remote, often would have color and tint controls on the remote. That was because each station's cameras were all a bit different, so you'd adjust it for the best color reproduction each time you'd change channels. I've had the same experience with OTA TV, it just doesn't work. Glad it fits better on that stand, I'm sure it will be around for some time to come yet.

Your RCA colortrack is also a 25 inch but it's a special breed to begin with. EDIT I did some research and found that In the USA they had a regulation that manufacturers had to list the Viewable screen size while in Canada they could use the actual tube size so that might be the confusion. Don't know when the regulation came out. So it might be a 27 in canada but listed as a 25 here in the USA. Whatever size it is it's perfect for the dining room.

My educated guess is that it's a 25" because that is the first two numbers in the model number. 25" TV's were very common from the late 60's into the early 90's. The price was quite a bit cheaper than 27" sets. When TV screen sizes went huge, 32", 36" and even 40" in the 90s the 25" was kinda phased out as 27" became cheaper.

I have a 25 inch sanyo tv from like 1999 but I hate how its curvy at the top so u cant sit the vcr on it
