This is a vintage angle grinder from Japan. I think it is a vintage makita products. It requires 110V, while my location is 220V. It requires earth wire, while my location don't have earth wire install. There are people died because of aluminum power tools in my country, because they know how to use it properly. There are a lot of new modern power tools available in market today, so these kinds of power tools are abandoned. For me, I can take benefit from it by modify it in to this way. It not so powerful like before, but I can use it for some purposes.
Don't test these abandoned power tools, It can cause danger!
The following are cases encountered during the restoration:
- Wrong soldering in Angle grinder • Shocking Angle Grinder...
- Corrupt wires can come in contact with the power tool body • Vintage Electric Hamme...
I hope you find this video useful and enjoy it!
Furthermore, I am happy to receive feedback, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I'm sorry for the mistake if I did in this video !!!
Thank you very much for choosing to watch my video!
Have a nice day

I don't know how much trust you would have in that 3d printed piece. If you work with the tool a little longer to heat up the tool, that piece would most likely melt. That old coil seemed much more resilient.

Another great video pops up. I always admire not only your technical ability but also your ability to create a fun presentation. This device takes my past to my childhood when I worked as a slave to my grandfather using Older devices like this one. My only complaint about your work is the painting work you do. It's amazing, but I want to see this device polished like new glass and coated with clear paint. But that's just me, it still looks good.

Hi, great restoration and great video. I just wonder how did you choose the magnets for de DC motor and why? From a reliability aspect, magnets suffer from high temperatures and i think that it could be a mistake even if the efficiency is improve considering the environement. Howerver it works very nice. Nice jobs

im just a bit suspicious the actual RPM of it got lower due to the battery arrangement, partly because of the lower voltage but maybe also because of some specific electromagnetic issues with Brush DC motors that usually do not allow them to spin real real fast, but since this is a very big angle grinder maybe it had only 6000rpm anyway... But yea... Very fast spinning dc motors are brushless, that is, basically triphase motors with a controller
