I found four Ontario kitchen knives at local thrift shops here in West Virginia. Two were so old, and had been sharpened so often, that the original normal-sized kitchen blade looked like a stiletto. I have two others in my kitchen and use them daily - they sharpen easily, hold a sharp edge for a long time, and I use a homemade beeswax and food-grade mineral oil cream on the wooden handles. Best knives I've ever had!

That Wards Scout knife appears to have been made by Winchester. Winchester made some very high quality knives through the 1920s up untill WW2. Thats a real nice old scout you have there!

I received that exact same Western Boy Scout with the stacked leather handle when we cleaned my Grandfather's estate. Still has the leather sheath.

Nice collection. The wards knife was Montgomery wards.. a knife made by a cutlery company.. Utica cutlery used to make them..pal cutlery bought the Remington division of knife making.. I believe they morphed into Gillette making safety razors..

That " cowboy knife " is a Western H6, made in various versions from the 40's -80's. The little keychain knife looks to be an Imperial as well. The bone handled Western seems to be an H48a, and the similar one in stacked leather seems to be an L48 maybe. They had a few models that can be similar and with the various changes over the years it can be easy to get them mixed up. The cutout in the back of the driver blade on the electricians knife is just there so you can access the nail nick on the knife blade.

Depending on what font style the Imperial is written in and the handle materials, it could range from 1918- 1923, 1925-1940 or 1940-1980ish will say HAMMER. All good old high carbon steel classics.

The knife with the fork always seemed funny to me. OK the spoon works, but what about when You need a knife, and fork? You still need another utensil anyway.
