Wow, Barbie Magazines? I didn't even know they existed and in such great condition, this is a real steal.And wow, you guys produced that book, that's impressive. I remember courdory and those outfits are amazing! The ornaments are adorable. OMG that little typewriter and grandfather clock, I would love to find those. You have a great Barbie collection. I don't think they make those talking dolls anymore especially a pull string, may be because of safety. That dollhouse is amazing! Maria, would you be interested in doing a video on how to produce a book, what it entales and how much would that cost? I've always been intrigued and don't know if it would be something I could try. Beautiful items, thanks for sharing.

Hey Lady D… I think what has drawn me to collecting Barbie as a grown-up are my happy childhood memories, and all of the fun miniatures that come with the fashions. And my focus is to get back to my writing and finish up several projects. It’s so neat that we can now self-publish our books through Amazon. Technology just gets better and better. There are probably videos out there already. So, you might want to watch some of those. Just make sure the videos are more current. But you definitely can publish your own book!

Oh, no… I guess I wasn’t clear… the Barbie book was written by another author who asked permission to use Joey’s photographs at the end of her book. I should make another video just about the book, or maybe several Barbie books. That would actually be fun because when I first started collecting i bought the first book on Barbie for collectors. It had just been published. Thanks Lady D for bringing this to my attention. 😊

Hi! I had gone to a doll show that a club puts on once a year in the Springtime. I believe the local club is part of the UFDC doll club. But there’s also Sherri’s Doll Show, in Buena Park. The next one is in July. It’s held in a hotel next to the 91 freeway on Beach Blvd. you can find it on Google. And I believe it’s also on Facebook. And you can also Google information about the 2024 Barbie Doll Convention coming up in July. They are doll out, but the sales room will be open for one day to the public. Hope that helps!
