Appreciated this Barbie genre. My sister and I had matching Malibu Skippers. The only existing Barbie dolls other than a Malibu PJ head, Ken, and Allan that made it through m8ne and my daughters' childhood. I've been since collecting a few to replace my memories. Those clothes were groovy! My sister had the camper so when I was 12 I sewed several sleeping bags and matching pillows so I could play with it too! She and I plus our neighbors had Barbie adventures on the "river", camping, and horseback riding on another neighbor's front yard stream! Thanks for sharing!

I have the Barbie Country Home that came out maybe a year later than the Barbie House you got...same orange plastic roof and 3-room setup, but different furniture, and a full kitchen (table with drop-sides & ladderback chairs, with some amazing wall graphics) as the center room. I lucked into one with all the furniture several years ago, & I store my 6 Mod-era Barbies in it. I just love the Barbie TNT face mold, the dolls made with the Steffie face mold, & the Stacey face mold dolls from that era. I drag the house out from time to time & change the vintage clothing on my dolls. You got some very nice dolls & clothing pieces in your haul!

The Country Home is one I don't have. I love the kitchen in that one. The mod era dolls are my faves.

I have the bend leg midge, the barbie house and country camper as well and also the quick curl dress my quick curl barbie doll has a broken leg That's a really awesome haul i really don't collect anything right now since my grandmother passed away and I'm still stressing about our belongings being in storage I really miss her because she was the only person in my family that understood my doll collecting because she collected dolls too so I feel kind of alone now. Also I've been turning some of my playsets into nice display pieces I've really learned to repair and even create whole new ideas for theses old playsets

Sorry for your loss, I lost my Mom last year so I know how you are feeling. And I am also stressing about stuff in storage! I like the idea of turning playsets into backdrops or display pieces. If you do any videos on them please let me know.

I love your haul! Lately, a friend gave me a blonde, long-haired Stacy head. I have a Twist n Turn body, so I put them together. I always wanted a 1968 long hair twist, Stacy, so now I have her!

Thank you for your channel. The dolls bring back memories of my childhood and earlier dolls my mother recalled. I appreciate your calming voice and pace, many channels are unwatchable because the presenter is too hectic and high pitched. The 60's and 70's was my childhood, so many sweet memories. I lost my original beloved Drowsy doll years ago. I found a replacement, still in the box with working voice box, on Ebay. She still smells as I remember! I've had her well over 10 years now still in her box, but she is still a precious memory.

Thank you so much for your comment. The dolls of the '60s and '70s are my era also. I love all dolls, but the ones from that time are special. I lost my childhood dolls too, but have replaced a few of them. Thanks for sharing!

Wow you have an amazing find!! I have started wanting only the 1960s to 70s mod era Barbie dolls even the reproduction because that's when Barbie was truly Barbie and Mattel was not making trash. I don't know if you've noticed but the material they are using to make the dolls with now are thin breakable plastic and they don't even have bend and snap knees anymore. The clothing is made with Velcro and the denim is not real it's stretch material with the denim look printed on . I don't know what's happening with mattel. Maybe they are going bank rupt. Going back to my roots lol❤I'll learn to sew my own Barbie clothes if I have too.😊

The mod era dolls are my favorite too. And I hate Velcro on doll clothes - the doll's hair always sticks to it! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I really enjoyed viewing your wonderful finds...You are lucky to have found so many delights in one hull... I'm a huge fan of Malibu Barbie and the Country Camper, had both as a child...gave them all away. Now I've bought others to replace them...Funny how I'm older I still love Barbie...Fantastic memories . Nice video, your calm, go through each piece one by one, you even know the names...nice. I enjoy your accent too. 👍🏻❤️ Trace from Mb. Canada.🇨🇦

Nice! Midge is Awesome. Great outfits too! I remember playing with the Beauty Center as a little girl. Don't remember the length of the hair. I do remember the lipstick didn't go on the doll well, and didn't taste very good. :) Don't find much around here :( I mean I found maybe 12 dolls in 10 years. Then one day I got lucky at an estate sale and got a fairly large collection. Then to my shock 2 weeks ago I found a Francie and the dress to magnificent! Wouldn't it be fun to name the unnamed Best Buy outfits? How about, Junior Photo Day, or Cute in Cotton?

What book do you use as reference to the clothing?. Love your collection.
@vintagedollcollector48283 жыл бұрын
I have the Barbie Fashion books by Sarah Sink Eames and Joe Blitman's Mod Mod Mod books. The Eames books are a little more of a pain to use because they are chronological. So if you are trying to find a Barbie outfit, you have to wade through the Ken, Skipper and Francie sections to find it. Barbieworld.it is a good site to identify clothing. There are no descriptions, but with the photos you can find what you are looking for pretty quickly and then check the books for more info.

Hello I'm not shure if this will interest you but my friend has the syling head, she has styled the head with chalk pastel, or normal chalk and matt acrylic paint. It hasn't stand hers but you can test it out on the back. In case you want to style her closer to the box look.

How can you tell what a Barbie is and what year if shes naked?? Thank I loved you collection!🙂❤
@vintagedollcollector48284 жыл бұрын
Sorry to take so long in replying. Most Barbies have a date on them, but it is the year the body was copyrighted, not the year it was made. The best way to identify a doll is to join one of the many Facebook groups devoted to Barbie. They are very knowledgeable!

Hi, great finds! I love the later mod/ 70s era Barbie stuff as that was my childhood. Could the unknown blue jeans belong to Busy Francie from '72? They look like her jeans and most of this haul is from that 69-73 era it seems...also, I think the characters pictured on the Barbie house in the order you showed them are: Skipper, Stacey, Barbie & Ken, and Francie..?
@vintagedollcollector48286 жыл бұрын
It never occurred to me that might be Stacey on the case, you are probably right. But if that's Francie, she's wearing Barbie's Smasheroo dress! Well I guess cousins can borrow each other's clothes! And yes I think you are correct that those are Busy Francie's jeans - thanks!
@bonitajanssen51185 жыл бұрын
Those jeans are Sonnys', of Sonny and Cher.
@vintagedollcollector48285 жыл бұрын
Good suggestion! I hadn't even thought they might belong to a male doll. But I took a look at some Sonny dolls on eBay and it looks like his jeans have a separate waistband - whereas these are all one piece. But maybe there were variations? Or he had more than one jeans outfit? More research needed! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@bonitajanssen51185 жыл бұрын
@@vintagedollcollector4828 I'm pretty sure they are a variation, as I have been a doll collector for 40 years and don't know if any other doll they could belong to. Enjoy your collecting. I think I will subscribe and find out more about your collection. I collect vintage Barbie and antique dolls. I could probably answer alot of your questions. God bless.
