VINTAGE Book + PAPERBACK Pickups - April 2024 - Another Crazy Month - Vintage SF - ASMR, Maybe!
In this video I take a look through my pickups of vintage paperbacks that came my way in April 2024. Book shop goodies, books from Dorset Bob, books from AllYouNeedIsBooks some eBay purchases, book hauls from Liskeard and more. An incredible month! Some beauties in here!
These all needed cleaning and making good. It took awhile but the results were great and these will make a worthy additions to my collection.

Gotta love that neutral ph book glue. I have my own favorite brand that I use. It’s amazing with the paperbacks. A little bit of tlc can sure bring back a lot of the beauty in older books. 🤠

Just re-watched Phase IV this weekend. Tried to get my wife to watch it, but too weird for her tastes. I enjoyed the theme and the filmmaker really invoked the ant's totally alien outlook. I need to read the book now. Thanks for showing it.

I had a copy of the Bachman books with Rage in it, bought it from a car boot a decade ago. A few pages were loose so I ended up binning it, as I read Rage and didn't like it much, so didn't understand what the fuss was about. 😮

That's interesting. I still don't know why it's been withdrawn from sale. That omnibus is a good £35 or more if in decent condition.

I think when you referred to the gorgeous Robert Graves edition of The Golden Ass you mean Q13 as there wasn’t an Allen Lane Christmas book of it.

It can't be for much longer. I've not used any other bags in recent years so can't really recommend any more. I'll.make some enquires with an importer....
