I got the 1991-1994 edition In black with gold hardware my hubby finally got me . I looked up the serial to help with manufacturing date . I have single flap . Great price & excellent condition from the real real . Bag was made so much better back then , I love it , I’m happy with size

This video has made me feel better, I recently purchased this same bag on it is authenticated as real but the serial code is ineligible. I noticed on other vintage Jumbo XL’s the screws and Chanel Paris are in different locations and the square(the gold marking) is also in a different location. But mine matches up to yours, so I wondered if the differences are due to different years.

I have this bag too and have such mix feelings about it. I bought it around 2018 I think, and managed to buy it for €2300 which was a lot of money for me at the time. Used it a few times and then with Covid I really had no use for it. lol I only use small bags now. I kinda want to sell it but at the same time it's such a beautiful piece and I could never get the same quality now for this price.

I have this in a Jumbo size and think that is probably the largest I would go. It’s definitely the largest size Chanel I have as most of my collection is “small” size. I do like how comfortable my jumbo feels on my shoulder (I think the drop length is quite good). Way too long to crossbody however.
