My dad bought a new 1965 Mustang coupe and had it only 6 months or so. As a salesman that was on the road five days a week, he found it too small for his needs. He traded it in for a 1965 Galaxie 500 coupe. Two new 1965 Fords in one year!

I'll take a Mustang Fastback with the 289 HiPo in that beautiful burgundy Ford used in the 60s.

When the Mustang came out, dealerships couldn't get enough of them to sell. As fast as they came in, they were sold. The dealership where my father was GM, no one was allowed a Mustang as a demo, no matter how high up in management you were.
