I like using the smart polugs. My bro has his connected to his Amazon Alexa and when he says "Turn on Christmas" it turns on a short clip of home alone music, followed by vintage light sets one at a time. Its great :D

Another useful video, and a useful tip regarding swapping wires ( does that include the original lamp socket plugs too?) The larger cable tidy is useful, but i think the smaller one doesn't really justify replacing the tried and tested kitchen roll tube. As for the smart plugs, not a bad idea but timers work fine for me. And the money saved can go towards more crap lights i didn't know I needed! Keep up the excellent videos.👏

Thank you, Steve! 😁 Crap lights is where it's at. This channel is built on them. 🤣 There is no need to rewire Bayonet plugs. Just unplug and turn around 180° 👍

Hi there. Have commented before on your excellent uploads. Just wanted to mention, I finally found a nice white box of PIFCO Noel Lites (1289), and exactly as I remember them half a century ago! The diameter of the glow is about five inches, and in six colours {deep yellow, blue, green, scarlet, pink, crimson). They really do look great on the tree. Your uploads encouraged my search. Those cable tidies are good. The other essential equipment are those clear suction hooks for hanging the lights in the window. I tried to get some of those C6 opaque olives from Home Bargains today. There are 3 stores around where I live. Nothing doing 😩 It may be an online thing and then pick up or deliver
