I think it's important for people to always learn 8-bit bare metal computing now and in to the future so that they have a more in depth understanding of modern machines, 8-bit is so fundamental, it's important that there should always be a ready supply of components necessary to build 8-bit projects.

This and the last video both were such fascinating displays and demonstrations. I am 17 and planning to purchase a Z80 Membership Card from lee hart along with the SIO expansion card to learn lower level languages, your last video really nailed in that decision for me

The ET-3400 with its included set of training materials, missing from most current eBay sales of ET-3400s, provided an outstanding course of instruction and was my introduction to microprocessors back in 1980 or thereabouts.

I have a handful of Heathkit ET3400’s at an auction of a local Vocational School, a number of them were NEW still in their boxes while the others were very well taken care of, they were used in an Industrial Electronics program, where I attended the last year the program was offered when in high school over 20 years ago. At the time A+ certification courses or anything PC repair related was the new hotness. From the same auction I picked up many thousands of unused discrete components such as 74xx & 4000 logic, resistors, transistors…… various HP bench test equipment & power supplies & MUCH more, only paying a few 10’s of $$’s for all of it by the pallet.

Perseverance, if you have any kind of Heathkit in kit form (not factory assembled), those are worth a lot of bucks on eBay.

I'd just like to suggest that you consider editing this video down to separate segments for each computer and turn them into a playlist. I'm really enjoying seeing your collection and I'm quite jealous! I think we're only a few years apart in age and I worked on, or lusted after, a lot of this equipment when I was still in school and well after.

I wish your videos were around after I had built my 1802 trainer back in the 80's. it might have spent more time out of the closet.
