@@vintagedollhunters I have two Crissy dolls, One Velvet and one Cinnamon. Harder to find them here in Australia. Great buys on ebay coming out of the U.S but the postage is over $70plus to ship which is crazy. lol

This brought me so much joy! As a little girl,my mom bought me a baby Crissy doll,and being an only child,she was my very best friend(and we both had red hair)! I carried her on my hip wherever I went! I had a mean boy cousin who ripped her head of and poured mud in her body,and oh how I mourned her! This video brought me so much happiness to see her again!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have mia! I wasn't born when she was manufactured, but about 14 yrs ago I found her and Chrissy at a church that was giving used toys away! I'm so mad for giving Chrissy to my bf because she didn't take care of her! Thank God I kept mia! Still in here original blue romper and blue shoes! I love dolls so much, I treat them like my babies❤

I love ideal kerry i actually like her face better. did you know the UK had a unique 70s 18 inch doll of our own her name is Sheena her face is different but she has a crissy body a lovely doll she has the growing hair too . also we had Mary - make up 18 inch doll. i love you guys always put a smile on my face.

I have a moving groovin Velvet! I found her thrifting for like 1.99. Her hair looks new and she still moves!!! I normally only collect barbie but I make exceptions for the vintage dolls like this.

Mia was a dark haired doll, same size as Velvet, and Tressy was dark haired and Chrissy sized.

I love the Crissy dolls, I have three 18" Crissy (one with hair to floor), two Velvets, two Mias, three Cinnamons and three 15" Crissy (from the 80's). All of them have original clothes, except the Mias. Look around Crissy's eyes don't move, the body (waist area) twist and her her turns side to side. You have a great collections, will watch your other videos.

Hi love you videos! Thought I should mention that Ideal didn't invent the grow hair feature. American Character Tressy doll had it first. She is Barbie sized. When they went out of business in 1967 Ideal bought the patent from them. The fellow that sold the idea to American Character was a famous furniture designer Jesse Dean and his wife Diana. He held the first patent. That's why years later Ideal used the Tressy name. I have many dolls including Chrissy and Tressy. Still have my Chrissy with floor length hair from 1969 too. Love them all!

I recently got a Baby Crissy to fix up for sale, she had very tangled hair and a six inch Matt at the top of her head. Took me all day but I got all the tangles out. She’s so pretty now🤗

Love Crissy! I actually started collecting twice, had two a few years ago, gave them away and this year I started again. I have three now, original, ‘Look Around’ & ‘Swirla Curla’ (or ‘Twirly Beads’ they’re the same doll with different accessories mine cam3 nude without any hint of who exactly she was?!)...I’m only a fan of Crissy but would love to own an African American version. Cricket is rare, a bit expensive, also the Tara doll. Harmony was not part of the family, but she fits in, another IDEAL doll. Beth Gunther wrote a book, CRISSY doll And Her Friends.It is very informative, it has a chapter on restorative methods, which can be used for other dolls as well.I believe the same artist did the Patti Playpal dolls too.
