this is perfect for everyday! i'm so bored with the same way i've been wearing my hair. summer time is here and it gets too hot to wear my hair down even though it's fine/thin. this style makes it appear thick and it makes me feel sexy! looks cute with and without bangs :)

I just use the light brown ones and they work just fine. It is more about your pinning technique than the color of the pin when it comes to hiding them.

I don't really do vintage styles that don't involve teasing. Back in the day, women spent hours getting ready so I am actually doing the short cut versions of these styles. You can try my marilyn 1950's look and just not tease your bangs. I also don't tease in my Bombshell look.

I Cosplay Uhura too!! Only I bought a 60"s wig and added the a roller wrapped it with hair to create the little middle part she has and glued it between the bang and the bouffant. It came out perfect!

You can always pull the layered pieces out and frame your face with them-- kind of like I have done. Or you can try to smooth them back with pomade.

They make extra large bobby pins. they will hold most any type of hair. And if you criss cross them, they are like cement blocks.

If you're too oily, like me, to have day old hair, I found a combo of styling wax or paste, tousling powder, and then heavy hold hairspray (I always use water free hairspray) gives my fine hair enough texture to hold a good tease. The goal is making it feel kind of dirty and gritty. The waxes will make it a bit sticky and take a while to dry, so you have time to style it. I go for a waxy feel too (waxes, pastes) instead of an oily feel (pomades) because my scalp and face are oil slicks after 12 hours. Tousling powder or dry shampoo (but I haven't found a dry shampoo I like) on your scalp will help soak up your oils which attack volume. ❤️

It is damaging if you do it all of the time. But if you use a good deep conditioner and a paddle brush to get out, it minimizes damage.

The last three do’s you styled, touched my mid-1960’s to ‘70era of hair and makeup obsession (ages 13-19)!!! Many memories there; ♥️ Jr. High and High School, and all that goes with it!!! The Beatles, dancing, boys, dating!Thanks for the memories! ♥️ I was born in ‘51,so I remember some of the older vintage do’s, as well. magazines and movies, teachers, and older family hair-dos.
