Wow, fascinating to see the classic techniques of Irish potato farming! We could learn a thing or two!

I've learned a lot. Thanks. My grandparents were fishermen in Southwest Donegal, but I've seen the Fields where spuds and such were grown. I can pass on some stories of how life was now even though I was never there to see the immense amount of hard labour involved. Great job!

I remember all that well, in 1950s and early 1960s, around Tandragee.

10 pounds a box? that sounds pretty generous. But hey! not every day you get to try your hand at some traditional farming. Looks like everyone had a great time.

I have an old belt driven potato planter made in laurelvale tandragee, if I could see one working it would help in my restoration, do you know of any i could see?

U call it a disc plow, we yanks call it a disc harrow, but really only green homesteaders call it that. Real farmers just call it a disc
@milespostlethwaite11544 жыл бұрын
Yes, in uk we call them discs. Hi falutin people call them disc harrows.
@eoind69143 жыл бұрын
There is an implement called a disc plough. A disc harrow is a distinctly different implement shown here.
