Not loving the shorter days either… but I find that switching to daylight savings time really messes me up! Not as bad as spring when we switch back, but still. I really wish we’d stop doing that. When (and where ) I grew up they actually changed the school hours during winter. Parents hated it but teens loved it ‘cause we’d get to sleep in and start at 10 or 11… I know my teen would like that:-) And I think Hank has your number, sounds like a smart cookie, that one. (But he deserves all the treats anyway!) Back to the card - I love it and I love how you made it look easy enough to accomplish!!! I’m making cards for lonely seniors and I think this one would be a total hit, so thank you:-) wish my budget stretched to new dies, but maybe I can McGyver it somehow!

A food motivated pup can learn quickly. My son’s pup Juno will do anything for a treat…it worked well. Every time she’s over…she’s doing a different trick for a treat.

Oh Laura, dogs don’t understand bribing! He thinks you are rewarding his running around the kitchen! That will make him do it more! When you get out the leash, be very calm yourself. Just stand there and wait. Eventually he will wonder what’s up and settle down. Ignore his crazy antics. Anything you do while he is acting nuts will reinforce his behaviour. Don’t talk to him or even look at him. Once he settles he gets the treat. Then try to put on the leash. If he acts up again, just wait him out. Might take a long time at first but it will work eventually. When he does settle, say ‘good boy’ but in a low calm voice. I’m very bad for saying ‘good girl’ to my dog in an excited voice because I’m so glad she finally is behaving. But with an overactive, excited dog it’s the opposite that brings results. I’ve been working with my dog with a trainer and it’s helped soooo much!

How nice is this scene? Lovely mountainscape in the teal and the tiny trees are perfect, you could grow a forest of them. Glad to hear Hank is fun and playful and giving your family lots of joy. LOVE THIS! My favorite things are mountains and trees and I can see using these dies all year for both masculine cards and cards for other women. I can see a cute camper in the foreground for summer cards, and having a collection of snowmen and deer for winter cards. The possibilities are endless! ❤️

I'm treat training my little puppy and she is doing so well, they will click as they get older and you will be able to phase out the treats, but don't feel bad for doing what you're doing, it is still training your pup
