Try and pick up one of those old Army flail beams they used to set of mines. That’ll move the weeds but preserve the road surface 🎵💪
@VadoVoodooСағат бұрын
Here in the UK they were seen on the front of tanks and called chain flails because they were made from huge chain links attached to a fast rotating axle. In the tank museum in Bovington. Dorset you can see close-up on the end few links where the mines detonated when struck by the flail. Great mine clearance tool that I suppose you could re-purpose to clearing vegetation from roads if you had something strong enough to drive it! :)

They were for a bucket that went up over the operator's head and then emptied into a truck parked behind the dozer. That saved on a lot of reversing and turning to dump the bucket load.

It must be very tempting to take that off camber switchback right on the limit, but don't be a statistic Marty. My wife worked at Wairau, and saw too many quad bike accident victims. Lots of forestry and ag workers as well, including a guy whose tractor rolled into a ditch trapping him underneath. He was there for hours before he was missed, and it was too late to save him.
