Hey Aaron and Team, my wife and I are in Spruce Pine, just up the road from Burnsville where you were at, and our volunteers camp wanted to say a big thank you for showcasing Pensacola valley and the work we have been doing out there. If you make it back to the area, please let us know. Lunch is on us!

amazing thank you for watching -- hopefully we will be back later this year

I was over the mountain from y'all in Barnardsville NC, Big Ivy Community helping out. My Mom and her family are from there and I live around the area so I jumped in out there, figured there wasn't much use driving past Reems Creek Valley or Big Ivy Community somewhere else when it was just right there, thank you for the help in WNC!

When The Owner said “would you believe that this truck runs on like no oil at all, I don’t even check it anymore” The entire time operating the articulating Volvo I would’ve been thinking about dumping a 5 gallon bucket of oil in it. Just Reminds me of my father preaching about how important “preventative maintenance” is. But Then you get this Volvo that will probably run for years without an oil change saving it’s owner thousands of dollars in oil alone.

Great seeing the Volvo love in the past few videos. That A25C is sweet!

Enjoyed watching Chris at work from another camera perspective. The shots were amazing. Of course I enjoyed watching Aaron playing with grown up toys. He sure looked like he was in his element. Chris got you in believing he dug up a human bone.. LOL. The expression on your face was priceless as if to say Fu*k You Chris. No pie.. dang!

Well, good thing Chris didn't have a skidsteer on site - for Aaron's safety of course. 😁😜

Wow, wish, Mr. WATTS 😊 could have run the cable backdrag hoe on top of the pile. 😊 Neat to see the rope shovel dig same time the mini excavator ran.

Hey Aaron, if you ever find yourself up in PA you should come down to Lancaster CTC. We have a heavy equipment program there for high schoolers and it would be awesome if we could learn a thing or two from you.

European here. Quik question why americans burn all the wood from site clearing, looks like a big waste. In europe we save all timber from construction objects.
@rp16452 сағат бұрын
It would depend on if there is a saw mill close by. Does anyone want those size trees. Someone on the tree side has to make a living off of the wood. Let's dig is just a land clearing construction company.
@thomasmiddlebrooks5169Сағат бұрын
It’s a cost thing. Smaller trees on this site are not desirable or profitable to haul off site. Cheaper to burn 12” pine trees with no value in small quantities.
@Freight_TrainСағат бұрын
In some places, trees grow like weeds. Literally. I'm just south of this area and at the edge of what is considered a rainforest. Any clearcut land left alone will have a mass of 15 foot tall trees within a few years. So thick it's hard to walk through. They'll be 40 feet or more in 15 years.

Bad operator----1st----one track higher( off balance)---2nd--- lifting logs from the side (should be from the front ie --tracks facing forward towards the logs)---basic excavator skills----don't get mad---you'all know the right way!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't the trees at least be cut up for firewood and the rest mulched, rather than just burnt?
@VapedTalon4 сағат бұрын
You could, but it just costs more money to do. He has sold some of the lumber off that property as well, but most of it was unmanaged and not worth the time.
@AaronWitt4 сағат бұрын
they have so much of it it's not economical
@Bowiiihowdy3 сағат бұрын
@VapedTalon my dad actually used to look for brush piles and ask the owners if he could come out and saw a bunch up and most would let him
@VapedTalon3 сағат бұрын
@@Bowiiihowdy that works in some cases sure, but that doesn't fully clear the land for the next use. On Geoff's property near to his house LD18 cut up good logs and said they were free to whomever wanted them. Geoff mentioned it on his small channel as well and the logs just sat there for months. He had them trucked away on principle because he spent all the time to cut them up nicely.
@rp1645Сағат бұрын
And if they were clearing all those trees OFF. The lumber mill, if there is even one close, wants board feet of lumber to make money 💰 off the trees. The lumber companies usually have a very LARGE area and is in swampy lands in the southern US to make it profitable for any wood harvest. The burned wood can make great ground growing ash so his cows or whatever the farmer owns, the animals can eat good grass lands. This is just a new roadway clearing. I don't think any wood harvesting would think there is enough on just ROW, widening the access to the new road location. Logging a forest has to be profitable for a land manager. That's where you see a ( clear cut) with lots of trees removed. Let's dig is only a land clearing company. He doesn't take down trees to make any money off of a job. He just doesn't cut enough trees, even though it looks like a big burn pile.
@trentscott99914 сағат бұрын
It WOOD have been alot cooler if they had milled all that board feet of lumber instead of making a giant burn pile/\
