Those will be some sweet projects. I have only ever seen the thumb stud on scout knives with bone covers, and like you said the little notch cut out of it. I appreciate you sharing my video the other day, that meant a lot to me!!!!

Yes, the "thumb stud" makes it unique. Thanks for watching, my friend.

Great bunch of knives to work on Tom, very nice results should be expected. If you want to avoid putting scratch marks on your blade with pliers there is a trick you might try taught to me by a collector back in the 60s. He used an index card to open old stuck blades but a simple business card works also. Fold the card in half so that the shorter sides are together, then carefully slip the card under the stuck blade so that the blade is between the card's sides (you may have to move the blade a little to get it started and don't let the edge cut the card). After you have slid the card all the way down to the tang then slowly pull up on the card and the stuck blade may be opened. Slow and careful is key and if you cut through the card before it opens try again with a better feel. This has only failed me a time or two over the years and I've used it scores times. 🤞

When I was a child I would always carry my old timer pocket knife to school. So did all the other boys. In 12 years of school nobody pulled a knife in anger. We settled problems with our fists. In the year 2024 a kid cannot take a wooden toothpick onto school grounds. Today’s society is pure evil.
