This is a big part of the hobby, customization! And done so well! In this day of RTR's and "a new body color" being a hot thing from some big companies, that mechanically gorgeous freak of a car there is priceless! 😎

Very cool and certainly unique Turbo Optima. Clearly inspired by AYK Boost and/or Pro Radiant (or vice versa!) as they both had similar drivetrain layouts (mid-motor, dual chain drive and 2-speed). Awesome find either way and many of us collectors are probably quite jealous of you right now! 😁

Yeah I think you’re right it didn’t really dawn on me until Jason at true vintage showed off those exact cars the other day! I still can’t believe this thing fell in my lap the way it did I’m eternally grateful to have it - makes be believe in aliens again 😃

Woah!!! Honestly I would pay 400 to 500 for such a car. It appears to be “conjured” out of premium parts from classic cars to make the ultimate legendary car. This could definitely be a testimonial model of rarity and originality in the RC hobby. 👍

Hello my brother no way please continue to pursue more PB stuff I am equally happy or even happier it is in your hand as you always have very brilliant ideas to reengineer cars eg your PB Ace mid motor and the PB Mini mustang “touring” car 😂 you know I only resume RC hobby in 2021. Last time I stepped on the gas paddle was 1991 with my Yokomo 91 Works with a black Cam Pro motor. I know little about the electronic connections as well as what gear ratios to put into work for a specific car. A steep learning curve for me but at the moment I have been enjoying getting a few RC that I really like since childhood (I lived in Macau…a very happy and crazy childhood with my beloved family then we moved to HK). I think you know what has been happening in HK in recent years so playing RC is probably a good choice to keep up my mojo and to forget the freaking chaos in everyday’s news. 😂 anyhow dude, me and your fans can’t wait to see your new clips again. I do believe there was a mid motor conversionkit for the Optima (from JG maybe?) but i think the engine sat much higher up..This is maybe something that was done from the Kyosho team back in the day before the mid come about,like the Optima Torpedo..

Yeah I did see someone made a conversion kit but I agree things were situated a bit different - whoever did this was no hack that’s for sure - looks nothing like my mods 😄 Still haven’t figured out why there’s a big hole cut in the bottom of the rear gearbox 🤔
