Vintage Kyosho Ultima Pro XL donation - Part 2 of 2.

Thank you for stopping by to view the channels latest upload. This has been a long time coming for me with an Ultima Pro XL project been at a stand still for the longest time however with thanks to the following people, this project has come to a wonderful finish:
Jason Fireace. Thank you for the donation chassis plus the spare odds and ends.
Keith from RC ICONS for the new original decal sheet and the spiked front tyres,
Marwan for the lexan body and wing.
Sean for his amazing generosity of his time and skills repairing the old Kyosho esc.
Paul @ Bezerk for always helping me out with perfect carbon fibre and fibreglass creations.

Thanks Jaicen. The PRO XL is for me my favourite 2WD Kyosho buggy. Just glad to have some kind and generous friends out there who appreciate the efforts I make with the content I create.

@@Bormac073 no worries, I always skip through them whenever possible. I hadn’t thought about it until you mentioned it. Just assumed they put them in there for all videos. I need to see if they are in mine now!

There's a bit of a sting to it as I have invested a lot in creating what production quality I have in cameras, audio gear, lighting, computer with upgrades, all the subscription services and all the other bits n bobs, but Im in it for all the right reasons.

I found you through Keith, he also gifted me a set of decals for my MK1 Ranger and shared my Sand Scorcher paint video. I didn’t know this great community existed until I got back into the hobby during Covid then started looking on KZbin for tips and to learn. It’s so addictive, I love it!

Nice Ultima! I have a Turbo Ultima which I've (probably sacrilege) put an OG Ultima body and rollcage on. The body on the Turbo looks ok, but I was never going to find the wing and mounting wire anywhere (I looked a bit). Honestly, I'm surprise those NiCad cells still worked. Were you one of those folk who bought matched cells and put them together as packs?

Thank you Pablo. The Pro XL just ticks all the right boxes for me and I have owned the Turbo back in the day when it was the latest Ultima out there. Along with creating the True Vintage R/C FB page I also created the 'Vintage R/C Electronics' page too. I have soldered up many a sub c battery in my time.

@@Bormac073 Nice, it was a little bit of a sly dig, but when I got back into the hobby, people were still getting matched cells but Nimh instead of NiCad. LiPo's were just coming into it.

This might be a dumb question but would the Ultima Pro body sit reasonably well on the recently released JJ Ultima?

You're crazy for having the ESC wires that go to the receiver route in between the battery straps that are essentially acting like graphite wire cutters in your configuration. This is unacceptable even for a shelf queen.
