I had this as a kid and still have most of the parts. I may just shop for a complete set.

Ce train Lego m'a fait rêver pendant toute mon enfance, je ne l'ai jamais eu, ni même vu ailleurs qu'en catalogue. Ah, les plaques "Hamburg", "Basel", "Genova", souvenirs...

Great video! It was good to remember how it was in teh 60ies. I had a train that was like this except the coaches were diferent. The locmotive and the track were exactly the same. I still have som eparts but not enough to build the locomotive. The battery box was damaged by battery leak and I also lost the grey bottom.

I’ve just never liked these solid blue 4.5 volt locomotives. I think the solid black locomotives are much better

Its funny how Lego has gone back to making battery trains like this one in a modern way but the same idea.

Hello Sir BrickTsar. I just got this set. Was going to message you about it to see what you thought but of course you already had three of them. By any chance would you have a spare instruction manual? Mine is just a print. My box is also pretty beat up. If you ever come across one in good condition try to remember me. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your vids. Regards Paul.

Awesome. I got this (in pieces) from my dad when I was a kid and never quite knew how it was supposed to look put together originally. Think I still have everything in a box somewhere :)

+Finarvas even with the instructions it's a little tricky. Some of the online instructions are hard to see. That's cool you got that though

Hmm I may have parts for one train/train car, because i hvae couple of the old round turntables, i have the wheels (and the white bricks with transparent bottom where they connect), i have maybe 6 pieces of the blue straigh track, I have one of the big grey plate and i think two of those couplings with 2x4 connector. Ill have to try to find out what set they are from..

Is there a web site that has pictures of the two pamphlets you showed near the end of the video? I’d love to gaze at those for a few hours!

It is one of the oldest for sure. Especially with motorized functions.
