Brilliant work as usual. Have you any plans in the future to restore the pillar drill you use in the course of your other restorations? It would be so good seeing you work on one of them, i have one of the Sealey range, it's on my 'to do' list when i retire in a year or so. Keep up the good work.

Yes absolutely, I bought it for restoration but my shed is too small to restore it at the moment, I am planning to upgrade the shed and then do the pillar drill first thing.

I am still using my Leytool hand drill. My drill though is single speed and the handle is non- adjusting. It is still painted in its original colour of silver and red.

I'm afraid that I prefer the finish that the makers in Leytonstone used. Did you not have any silver powder coat? Also, blasting the surface off parts which were intended to fit precisely is never a good idea. You end up with a rattle fit rather than smooth action.

We have silver, every second video we make contains silver, you tend to get a bit sick of seeing silver. The fine media we use and the lower pressure we sandblast at does not remove enough material to make a significant difference to tolerances.
