Awesome video. Learned a lot. Did you aligned the gaps for the rings around the piston?

I am currently also working on a G150. It runs pretty well, but the fuel shut off valve is very leaky. Did you restore yours? Or do you maybe have a link to a good one online? I just cannot find the right one.

LOL ! I had the exact same canister insertion technique, usually loosing half of the gas until I could lock the f***ing canister, until I figured out you can unscrew the burner.

It's almost irresponsible to not fix the cracked handle if you're going to restore everything else with a crack as bad as that drill has. And no lubricant? Contrary to one of the other commenters, this is reproachable.

Note to self and others : When in storage, never lay these jacks on their side - they leak! My brand new jack leaked into the sparewheel well over the course of a few months. Thanks to you I managed to save it by a top up bleed. Thank you!!!

The cracks are part of the history, it's not a brand new tool. But why didn't you put a little bit of grease on the moving parts?

@AJRestoration I originally thought it was a Benjamin Medwin cast iron, but it doesn't have the same makers mark on the handle. It does look like a Korean made skillet though. That steak you made looks delicious. Iook forward to your next video.

Ok, an old laptop brick is a REALLY GOOD IDEA for the electronic rust removal! And man, every time I see one of these rusty cast-iron restorations, it really makes me want to go out and scour every flea market and antique shop and recycling dump for discarded pans! People really don't know what they're throwing away!
@AJRestoration3 күн бұрын
I agree, I am constantly on the search for more cast iron to save.

Hi AJ, Can I use a 12 volt 4 amp charger for the rust removal process, man that steak looks awesome
@AJRestoration3 күн бұрын
Yes you can, that sounds like the specs of the typical car battery charger. It will work great, just keep an eye out on the heat of the transformer. Also some car battery chargers have small fuses, if the salt content is too high it might blow the fuse.

@jonathanlloyd23066 күн бұрын
There should be another small toothed wheel (cog) the same as the one driving the chuck in the opening at the top of the frame. It keeps the large cog that you turn balanced. It's missing. That why it keeps jamming when you use it!
@AJRestoration6 күн бұрын
Makes sense why it kept jamming, thank you for letting me know!
