This is what we called a dresser scarf. Used to have them on top of chest of drawers and dressers in the 50’s/60’s.

Hi Julia - Such an awesome transformation of a pair of jeans!!! Wow oh Wow!!! Your bag is amazing. Love the fabric you used from the shower curtain. Everything looks so pretty. The linen table runner is beautiful. You always come up with the best things. I’m sure people enjoy watching you create things at your booth. Just about time to close down your summer shop. It’s bittersweet I’m sure. Just knowing that winter is headed your way soon makes it hard. I’m glad you get to go away from those horrible winters and find the sunshine. It’s still hot here and very humid. Can’t seem to get anything done outside this year. The humidity has been so muggy all summer long. It rained about every day in July so we kinda didn’t have summer. I’m hoping the sunshine will be here thru September. Enjoy your weekend. See ya next time! 💕🧵🎉 Happy Labor Day!

Hi Pam, It's hard to believe the summer is over. Fall is in the air here. I'm playing catch-up now with house work etc. We hope to take a Fall trip somewhere now that I'm not tied to the Flea Market every weekend. Until next time :)

Gorgeous vintage linen, just wish I could reach through the screen and grab it. I did something similar last year and learned a valuable lesson. Over time the stitched linen became frayed from rubbing against my body ( I had both sides of my bag decorated). In future I will use the linen on the outside of my bag only and remember to position it to avoid the rubbing. I unpicked those pieces and have replaced them with doilies which may also rub so I shall keep an eye on the fabric. Still, it is a great way to enhance a bag and I am lucky as I work in a Hospice Shop so have access to these beautiful old hand stitched treasures.
