Had this Xmas morning. My mom loved Vanessa and would opt to play her during our mom-child time.

I definitely have a feeling we will see modern versions of these toys soon. They have made such a huge resurgence in popularity it just seems inevitable. I love watching you repair them. I’ve always wanted to see how they worked but didn’t have the guts to take mine apart 😂

I really enjoy almost all of your content, even for some toys I have no personal connection to, but your M.A.S.K. repairs hit different. I believe mainly they remind me of how rough I used to play with mine as a kid back in the day and I remember how much of it got broken and what crazy good repairs my father was able to do to many of them. Definitely got my tinkering skills and nack for it from him. Keep rescuing old toys, they deserve it.

The Manta is my all time most favorite M.A.S.K. I love the Nissan 300z as its one of the most iconic 80s vehicles, I love the Decepticon color scheme, and I love Vanessa Warfield. Mine was bought loose but is also almost in immaculately good condition sans stickers. I think being released late in the line helped a lot. I also have the same problem with the rear engine but I don't have the confidence in taking it apart to fix it.

Ok… you got me. I dig this ride. I am not a mask collector but if I see this in the wild, i will probably pick it up. It’s got that 80s vibe plus I love the transformation and color. And of course I love watching the photoshop work. It’s so satisfying.

I love the M.A.S.K toyline, but ended up selling my collection because I just didn't have the room, or the time / patience to track down all the little bits and pieces that were missing when I bought incomplete models ( which I tried not too ). I did pull 1 or 2 apart and fix mechanisms and make 1 good vehicle up out of 2, that was pretty fun but time consuming.

I love watching you work in photoshop. 20 years ago I was very proficient in the program while in Highschool and continued on into college. When I watch you work bits and pieces come back to me. You seem like you’ve been doing this for a very long time. Is graphic design your day job? Also my dad had this car back then too. I was a lucky 16 yr old driving one of these around on occasion

Impressive Photoshop work as usual. Not a vehicle I had but a very cool MASK toy, nonetheless. My dad was driving a 240Z right around the time this vehicle was released. I think headlights and the other stickers you mentioned would complete the look 👍🏼

I don't have this vehicle, so I LOVED seeing this one! It's really quite a clever design, and I really love the way the wings spring out! Your fixes seem to really do the trick. It's amazing how plastic imperfections can hurt the functions and fittings of toy parts. Luckily, flash and plastic glitches can often just be removed with the most minimal of efforts. Loved the sticker recreation too, Dave! I hope that you had a great Christmas, and a Happy New Year for you and Mrs Toy Polloi!

well done, Yes indeed some custom stickers are needed. The cover that reveals the missile launcher on the bonnet needs some grill work. The two raised bits behind and to the left and right of the missiles could use perhaps, some Amber or Orange stickers mimicking turn signals. I think that would dress the front up a bit. I really enjoy your restoration and repair videos. I, myself restore old cameras. Many times your work here gives me ideas for my camera restoring and sometimes customizing. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

You should make a custom sticker of a flame effect for the front hood. Almost like the Firebird.

Hi i mostly like your clips but in this case i really have to ask how you put all the small details back inside this toy ? in my mind thats a bigger problem then the rear problem issue !

Very nice seeing these old toys given new life and its usualy not anything major that needs to be done to get em good again. And I think there is something to old japanese mythology where items gets souls with age, old toys like these really do seem to have more life in em at least. Also lets not forget how the old theme songs to these shows really are something, and how most of em are done by Shuki Levy ^^.

The MASK Toys must have been heavily influenced by the James Bond gadgetry on the vehicles working features.
