Vintage National NC-88 Tube Ham Shortwave Radio Receiver General Coverage AM CW SSB

A real beauty of a receiver. This Ham Band / Shortwave receiver works perfect. Excellent sensitivity. Really nice arm chair rig. I have verified all functions. A real joy to listen to. These old arm chair radios still do an excellent job of receiving foreign radio broadcasts. They can be obtained for under 100. Sound nice, can do just as good as the new highly expensive radios. Find one. Take a look.

Question - how is a pot for BFO control better than a coil? Pots get scratchy and go intermittent, coils don't.
