Today I use my vintage off road wrecker to recover a Ford F250 that slid off the trail and into the woods almost ending upside down.

great video and awesome truck. just a heads up, the aluminium pulley rings aren't designed to be used with wire cable, doing so will damage them and possibly result in failure.

Love to see old wreckers in action. Every once in a while some channels like Sumter Wrecker occasionally have old Holmes wreckers doing the heavy lifting. Sumter Wrecker in particular has an old Holmes 750.

Well that was interesting and of course you knew what to do having done it before. Glad he wasn't hurt, just his pride maybe. Steve I bet when you bought this truck you never thought that it would be doing quite so much work? It did cope very well with the task though. There was a time you wouldn't even bother trying to straighten out such a heavily damaged door. Wrecking yards were never more than a town, or two away. Prob even match the color. Now? Not so much.

Truck sat there over night and they never got a call from the Police so I don't think anyone saw it in the trees.

Good deal! Seems like any time I am anywhere rural for more than 5 minutes, someone knows about it and is asking me what I am up to. Especially if that's north of town near that compound.

Luckily it was far enough away from the compound, I actually called a friend who lives in the area to find out if it was far enough away before I went out there.

Yep! Things have gotten weird for me near there. I swear they have cameras in the woods because they know you're there if you get anywhere nearby to where the house is.
