Now, I know why I found my way to your channel: You are a vintage perfume enthusiast like myself. As someone who is vintaged herself, I remember and smelled original formulations of Halston, Lauren,etc vs today's and there's no comparison. I hate reformulated fragrances. However, my quest in finding original formulation perfumes I had to abandon because I literally couldn't find them in wearable condition.

I love L'Air du Temps; that and Fidji (by Guy Laroche) are my favourites. I'm currently trying to find out more about other vintage scents, like Tabu and Joy (just ordered samples!). Sadly, Chanel No. 5 smells awful on me and gives me a headache. Chanel No 19 is better for me.

Please answer this one...there was a very inexpensive cologne called cherry vanilla musk. My friend loved it, and I decided to see if I liked it because, I am not a fan of musk, or powdery scents. She got many compliments, and I want something DIFFERENT ! I hope I can locate it.

1980s I went nuts for Valentino by Valentino. I am still crazy about it but, you cannot get it anymore. You used to be able to find bottles of it floating around. That was my scent. I loved the melon scent that swirled around the florals and all the notes. It was like endless summer. But, the 1980s had that endless summer vibe to it. It always felt like you should go to the pool or beach. Fun. And Valentino was so perfect. It may be too light hearted and endless summer fun for this era of darkness, crabbiness, rudeness and angst. So it's just as well it was discontinued awhile back. But, I still love it.

Well said! I haven't had the chance to try Valentino, but Sublime by Jean Patou gives me a similar feeling. It's a very sunny and joyful fragrance for me.

@@willowschafer I've learned a lot about vintages from another KZbinr. His channel is Ramsey. You might have to search Ramsey Perfume though. He get's into what they older bottles look like. Different batches etc. his videos are long, but worth it. Rich Mitch is another channel that gets into the vintages. If you know them great, if you don''t, check them out. They both do live chats which are fun. There are couple others, but I'm going to run out of space soon. We all have fun. Please consider joing the party.
