I wish I could own a 1951 HMV 507D ! Even if I could find one, the cost would be way beyond what I could afford. Thanks for the link to Vintage Radio also!

Hi Wayne, that radio looks like a nice looking model. Keep your eyes peeled you never know you might find one at a flea market or cheap somewhere like a garage sale. Thanks for watching 😊 Take care

Hi John, thats nice and shiny. The caps will make more sense in conjunction with the video I made on repairing a Colt - but if there is any doubt then feel free to send me a photo of the underside and I'll draw in where the caps go - you'll have a couple of spares there as I wasn't sure which ones you'd need. And you can compare your serial number with the main Bell Colt page to ballpark the model you have - but really they are all much the same in terms of the repairs you're going to do. I'm looking forward to the next one :) Cheers, Steve

Thanks for that yes it turned out well nice to see the change since I had started on this radio. Yup next step I'll replace the caps and will sing out if I have any questions 🙂

For nostalgia. Keep the old caps but drill a hole and stick the new caps inside . If anyone has any idea why this is fun to me let me know. It seems like nonsense. But when I listen to a girl sing on a 75year old radio. I feel happy. Anyone can have a sound bar. But only a few have a tube radio to enjoy

Hi everyone, hope you find this video useful, it was nice to see a great result after cleaning this old vintage radio chassis - which means onto the hard stuff, electronics next. It was also great to receive some components from vintageradio.co.nz. Thanks for watching 😀

Hi John, Is there a part 4 to the Bell Radio series , I know you did a video of replacing the caps in an other valve radio? Love to see part 4 and the completion and see the radio finished. Thanks for your Wonderful videos appreciate so much. I have a similar vavle radio a La Gloria Imp with the same coloured plastic cabinet the styling is very simular. Regards Steve (Christchurch)

I bought it as "not working" so I never even checked the plug. But last night I cleaned dust off the tubes and checked the fuse. It works.. but I already have one I restored and I want the Google in this one. So I don't know what to do with the guts. I know the resistors and caps should be drilled out and stick new bits in the old caps. To avoid frying stuff. But it's all there in one piece. A shame to waste it. @@MannixGarage
