I like using aerosol single stage from an auto/paint supplier. The final finish is amazing but costs a bit more. I know some oreilly stores mix it.

I’m sorry to say, & this is only my opinion, but you need more “flash time” after you just myst the paint. Patience is most important when you want a good paint job. I truly believe you put the paint on to thick to fast? If you put just a “dusting” of paint on then let it dry for about 15-20min. Repeat that 3times before spraying (thicker) your actual coats, & if it cracks after that? Never use that paint again! 👍😂
