Just to let you all know, in case you aren't aware ... This Gorilla Glue Gel will have a pretty serious reaction with garments containing Polyester. I recently accidentally splattered some of the glue onto my shorts during application of the product, and the resulting chemical reaction was a hell of a lot of heat, with visible smoke/fumes. This reaction could cause some serious burns in large spill quantities as the glue will react with the polyester while adhering to your skin through the garment, very rapidly. I couldn't find where it was stated to keep the glue away from said materials, but I may have missed it. In any case, this is a friendly PSA! 🫡

I've tried every one of these and I have never, ever have "Super glue" work for me. EVER. The only glue that has is school glue when I was in sixth grade 50 years ago.

I put a promoto-x tire and wheel in my hot air fryer for 10 min @ 330 F. The tire all but fell off the rim, and was not distorted! The wheel also was perfect! Just make sure to remove your bacon first!

Put Gorilla tape over the repair then superglue over the tape. Buy 4 tubes of superglue for a dollar in the dollar stores.

As a woodturner, I use Starbond products. I've not tried the others in a woodworking application, but Loctite gel is what I've used for everything else.

I’ve had very little success with Starbond. Perhaps it was to do with cold weather at the time. in the end I gave up and waited the Titebond to dry. Frustrated!!!! Yes Loctite has my vote! Thanks for your informative video

Loctite Professional smokes all these. Top solvency and polymers handle impact great. More volume for your money, syores for two years easily if cool and you didnt touch the spout(finger oils cure the glue)

I usually use my big bottle of hobby shop CA glue at home, but always gotta have some small ones in the tool bag. Would have been nice to see some cheaper / non-name brand ones included, like HFT.

I let me dog play with a tire for a couple mins. His saliva seems to break down the glue + his bite separated the bead.

The polymerization reaction of CA occurs by heat and exposure to moisture in the air. To prevent your bottle of CA curing on you before you use it keep it cold and dry. I buy 8oz bottles of BSI Instacure and keep it in a ziplock back full of silica gel (pure silica kitty litter) in the fridge. It never goes bad on me after years. Save money, buy the biggest bottle and keep in in the fridge in a ziplock back with desiccant. BSI sells small 1/2oz, 1oz and 2oz bottles and replacement tips and caps you can fill from the larger bottle for every day use. Happy finger bonding everyone.

What a great review and Its beyond me why some of the `experts` below are slagging it off. Each glue was tested with exactly the same material in exactly the same way using manufacturers specs.....not laboratory conditions.. but hey....you`re not exactly testing a jet engine are you. As a professional antique restorer I`ll be going for the Bob Smith Industries as I use a fair bit of this.

The biggest problem with attempting to find the “best” is the myriad use cases and potential combination of substrates. Some work better for stabilizing punky or porous wood bonds, while others work much better for instances where the bond will be subjected to vibration. Some tend to fail if you try to add colorings or pigments. There are also times when the better choice is 2 part epoxy. Also, the amount of pressure applied during curing… I believe the better shot is to select a few real world scenarios, in order to see how they compare. As for drying out, I have found that all of the brands I had purchased in tubes had a terrible shelf life after opening. I have several bottles of Starbond that have been open for 2+ years and are fine. Also, several brands are available in 16 or 32 ounce bottles, where the per ounce price can come down to under $3.

If you are having trouble with curing in the bottle try throwing the ca in the freezer. It won't freeze but it also won't cure in the bottle. Be sure it is clearly labeled though Lol.

Great video! Got me to thinking tho, how much are descent quality beadlocks for a TRX4? Aftermarket tires/wheels have peeled loose and will fold over going around a turn. So wanted to plug weep hole as well. Ideas? Thanks!

As a newbie Why do this in the first place? I mean if this is what customers WANT why don't they ship em out like this? Didnt old rc cars have easily removable tires???

What is good about this video is the Traxxas tire that comes with the cars is a very good tire. I used a heat gun and I rotate it until the rim starts to smoke. Then I get something to poke at the edge and it comes right off. 👌🏽
