A piece of steel wire around 5"-6" long with a 90° bend at one end will be very scale for a hood prop. A small block of styrene with a hole drilled in it for the short end of the rod and it can just lay across the front under the hood. RC4WD's inner fenders for the Blazer are lexan,but they're big enough to be trimmed down to fit almost anything! If you want them shiny under the hood, paint the inside of them. If you want them flat use flat paint on the engine bay side.

Great update!!! Yah building the entire support is great idea, need some lock back hood hinges to keep hood open I think that's how the gremlins were. Either way hood prop is cool as well, just some small bendable wire works really well.

Thanks Rc Dungeon! Had a good suggestion to use magnates on the hinges to hold the hood open, thinking I'll add springs for looks.

Real Gremlins hoods were held up by a spring system in the hinges, maybe look for a way to lock it open at the hinges? I mean if you’re going for all scale detail as possible? Sorry to poke the 🐻! 😂Loving this build. Thanks for sharing. 👊
