Vintage reel repair; Zebco 888, it's missing the line brake, can't find the part! Let's fix it!

You said a AS568 268 o-ring. That is a 8 1/2" ID - incorrect. What is the correct AS568 number?

All I can tell you is what my o-ring guage said. It's been a couple of months since I built this reel

@@jonhammes6209 The I ordered a AS568 268 and I received a 8 1/2" ID. The AS568 Dimensions Chart states a 268 is 8 1/2 ID, 1/8 CS. The correct one may be either a 228 or 229. Can you provide me the correct size number?

​@user-fd6wg1dd3g I honestly can't tell you which one it is. I've packed up my entire house, and I'm moving. I don't even know where that reel is now or if I did have it, how can I measure it installed. I'm sorry this did not work out for you but I can only go by what size my o-ring guage tells me it is? I've used that guage as a field service heavy equipment mechanic for many years and it's never told me a wrong size
