WOW, that's a lot of felt! Thanks for this one- it's neat so see how they came out of the 'factory' before the rest of us got our mitts on them. And interesting to be able to compare to all the copies, 'tributes' and knock- offs out there.

Great video, thank you Matt. This instrument is in a wonderful condition. I have just the same low Bb Bari in silver in the 120 K range from 1965. Great instrument, easy to play.

Speaking of materials lined with teflon, have you found an adequate substitute now that PFC's are being phased out? UHMW plastic, perhaps? - I've got some tape that's pretty slick. Or maybe you had the foresight to stock up on a lifetime supply of the good stuff.

I remember my HS bought a bunch of these horns and I had a chance to play them, they play great! They did not have any engraving either, which I thought was interesting.

Great video, thanks! There's a few Mark VII baritones out there that escaped the factory, but yea, the mostly rolled through the VII straight to Super Action 80's. Howard Johnson's baritone had Mark VII stamped on it, very neat to see.

That's right! Now that you mention it I sort of remember hearing about something like that. If you have any photos, I would love to see it! As I recall, there are no differences other than the stamping?

@@StohrerMusic I don't have your knowledge of horns, and certainly didn't when he showed me his horn in 2007 or so, but it looked a lot like a late Mark VI to me. I wasn't smart enough back then to take a photo, but if I ever come across it again I sure will!

Would love to see more videos on baritone or bigger saxophones. Also, how would i attach key felts to the body or key arm? Is there a specific adhesive?

Hi! The neck on my Dolnet bel air alto has a strong metal smell/taste when i play after i cleaned it inside with vinegar. It seems to be Clean inside but smells a lot. Do you know how i can get rid of the smell?
